33 plus years ... My wife and I stumbled across this place 33 plus years ago and we are still coming back. Our family keeps growing and so do our orders, they ALWAYS nails it and have never messed up an order for us. Grand kids baptism this past weekend and we pre ordered 14 pounds of meat and the whole taco packet. 1PM we showed up and we were loading the car a few minutes later. Amazing service and consistent quality. Party was well fed at the dent of the prices of any rivals. I always worry about parking but seem to always get lucky and close. They open at 8am 7 days a week and always ready to take a big order.

El Toro Bravo Tortilleria is an awesome Mexican spot in Westside Costa Mesa, with great food and very generous portions. I ended up getting the Barbacoa tacos, sadly they were out of the Birria (goat) when I went. They put a massive amount of meat in decent size tortillas, making it feel more like a small burrito in size. The meat is very tender, moist, and tasty, with a nice semi spicy sauce and fresh onions/cilantro. The tortillas are the star, with a great flavor and texture that sets this place apart. Service is super fast, no seating but ample parking. Totally worth checking this place out if you are in the area and looking for good food.

Their specials are great value. We got Special #9 which comes with two pounds of meat, tortillas, salsa, soda and chips for $32. It easily fed five people with a little left over. I'm not usually a fan of carne asada, but theirs is very good and not dry. And their buche is good too. The line for lunch is huge, understandably, but it moves quickly. However, I definitely recommend calling ahead to save yourself the wait.

Hole in the wall that you'll definitely miss if you aren't actively looking for tacos! At $9.50 a burrito- I'd say this was a hell of a find! The menu is not updated. We actually came in for a breakfast burrito but were told they don't have those. So, we opted for the Carne Asada Burrito. Which was one of the best burritos we've had so far in OC. The price to value is unbeatable, and the service was quick. We got their on a weekend at around 10 a.m., and there was a queue starting already. The meat is chopped right in front of your eyes as you then see the tacos and burritos being wrapped. 10 out of 10 would recommend. We saw a couple of the pork tacos being made, and those looked super juicy as well. Will be back!

The place is rustic and the service is excellent. This restaurant is close to the Roswell museum. Not too many places to choose from around there. The Mexican food is very good but I would label it under Tex Mex. The pablano chili relenhos were a warm heat. Served with the typical Spanish rice, pico de gallo and refried beans. My son had the stacked enchiladas which is layers of chicken, salsa, flour tortillas with a sauce and cheese on top. Served with Spanish rice pico de gallo and refried beans. The salsa was mild and Not too flavorful which was served with the chipsThe servers we friendly. Prices are comparable.

I remember first coming here as a college student ~10 years ago. The combination of the amazing value for your money and my craving for authentic Mexican food had me hooked. Was reminded about this place recently so I decided to return after all those years. It was just as good as I remembered. The food: Carne asada combination plate: They take out a generous portion of meat and chop it in front of you. They then pile it on with rice, refried beans, salsa, onions/cilantro and of course, their patented chips. The carne asada was a little dry today but still enjoyable Barbacoa taco: Double tortilla loaded with moist, savory beef and the onions/cilantro, and salsa. Got it to try a different meat and I'm glad I did. Horchata: Felt a little watered down but still very good and refreshing. Btw, they'll ask if you want your food "with everything" and just know that that includes their red salsa which does pack some heat Service was prompt with no fuss. There is no seating in the restaurant so prepare to take food to go.
